| Ford adds petrol EcoBoost to Mondeo |

Ford has added a new cleaner petrol engine option to its latest Mondeo range to offer lower emissions and higher fuel efficiency. The new UK-built 1.6 litre direct injection turbo petrol EcoBoost engine offers turbo-boosted performance while returning over 41 mpg.
The new 1.6 litre engine joins the 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine introduced on Ford's larger cars earlier this year. Sharing the same direct-injection, variable valve-timing and turbo-charging, the new 1.6-litre version, produced at Ford's Bridgend Plant in Wales, is also available on the new Ford C-MAX MPV range. | The Rising Cost of Fuel Drives Inflation |

Figures published today show; increasing fuel prices have pushed UK inflation to the highest it has been in four months. It is reported that annual inflation increased to 3.2% during October 2010.
With global fuel prices elevating and fuel duty increasing; the high price of fuel is a key factor as to why inflation has risen. This rise is thought to be problematic for the Bank of England; who aim to keep inflation rates low.
Expert opinions predict that inflation may rise above 3.5% as of 2011 due to the increase in VAT, however this is forecasted to lower come 2012. |
